I had a moment of panic when I walked into my room this morning and saw my younger daughter holding my cell phone with little black hands. Yesterday I had stamped a lot of images for the swap threads I participate in on SCS. I left my Memento ink pad on my desk, close enough for her to reach. The picture was taken after I washed her hands, sprayed her hands with Ultra Clean and washed them again. Memento really sticks.

I was browsing the Hero Arts blog (one of my favorite stamp companies) on Monday and they had a giveaway for a Clear Designs: Sending Happy Thought set. I never thought I'd win, but decided to leave a comment to enter anyway. I'm cutting back on buying stamps and supplies (>gasp<) and this would be a great pick-me-up, not to mention the set is so cute! Well, later in the week I'm browing (through Google reader) and come across this entry Hero Arts Winner. I won the stamp set. I started yelling to my husband not realizing he was taking a nap. LOL Thanks to Hero Arts for offering this giveaway.

Penny Black Hedgehogs

My absolute favorite images are Penny Black Hedgehogs. I was hooked when I saw the Shy Hedgehog for the first time. It was my first PB Hedgehog purchase. Here are a couple cards that I've made featuring hedgies.

I visited Cat's Craft Cupboard in Escondido, CA while visiting my sister in San Diego. Cat asked if I had ever tried flocking my hedgehog images and I never had. This is one of my favorite ways to embellish my hedgehogs now. I love the texture it adds. Thanks for the suggestion Cat!

The second card I sent to my friend Judi from my Card Cafe Yahoo Group. This card I made up as I went along. I love the color combination and the little pearls setting off the scalloped edge where the card opens.

Sample Cards and Lattebella

The Tiddly Inks and Chichiboulie fairy cards from my previous posts were 4 out of 5 cards that the owner of a local stamp store asked me to create. She just started carrying the Stamping Bella line and wanted to have cards on display so customers could see some finished samples. The last card I made featured Lattebella and one of my favorite color combinations - pink and brown.

My First Blog Post

Well, I guess I should starting posting since I created this blog a few months ago and haven't done anything with it. Here are two Stamping Bella cards that I created recently. My favorite Stamping Bella images are from the Chichiboulie and Tiddly Inks lines. (I'll post my Chichiboulie fairy cards tomorrow.) I discovered Christy Croll's artwork on Etsy sometime last year I think and loved her hedgehogs. Then Stamping Bella started making stamps designed by Christy and I was ecstatic. I'm just hoping that one day she'll design a hedgehog stamp. (Please!)

The first card uses the image Jumping for Joy and the second card uses Best Friends Forevah.

Images colored using Prismacolor pencils and blended using baby oil.
